
Winter Princess Shoes Cake – Recipe

For the Cake (3 tiers)
You can use the same cake batter for each tier:
3 cups all-purpose flour
2 cups sugar
1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
1 cup milk
6 large eggs
1 tbsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp vanilla extract
Optional: 1 tsp almond extract (for a royal flavor)

2 cups unsalted butter (room temperature)
6 cups powdered sugar
2–4 tbsp heavy cream
2 tsp vanilla
Gel colors: white, ice blue, silver

White fondant
Light blue fondant
Silver edible paint
Edible glitter 
Sugar pearls
Snowflake cutters
Isomalt or gelatin sheets (for crystal shoe effect)
Fondant molds for high heels 
Edible silver dust
Piping gel (for icy shine)

1. Bake the Cake Layers
1. Preheat oven to 180°C / 350°F.
2. Grease and line your pans for three tiers:
Bottom tier (largest)
Middle tier
Top tier
3. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
4. Add eggs one at a time.
5. Add vanilla (and almond extract if using).
6. In a separate bowl, whisk flour, salt, and baking powder.
7. Add dry ingredients alternately with milk.
8. Mix until smooth.
9. Pour into pans and bake each layer 30–40 minutes.
10. Cool completely.

2. Prepare the Buttercream
1. Beat butter until pale and creamy.
2. Slowly add powdered sugar.
3. Add vanilla and cream.
4. Tint parts of the buttercream:
White
Ice blue
Leave some uncolored

3. Assemble the Three Tiers
1. Level each cake layer.
2. Fill with buttercream between layers.
3. Crumb coat each tier and chill.
4. Cover each tier with fondant:
Bottom tier: light blue
Middle tier: white
Top tier: shimmering icy blue

4. Make the Winter Decorations 
Snowflakes
Use white fondant + snowflake cutters.
Brush with silver edible dust or glitter.
Pearls
Add sugar pearls around each tier for a royal winter feel.
Icy Draping
Roll thin white fondant and drape around middle tier.
Add shimmer with edible silver paint.

5. Create the Princess Shoes 

Two options:
A) Fondant Shoes
1. Use a high-heel fondant mold.
2. Shape the heel, sole, and upper shoe.
3. Dust with silver glitter and edible shimmer.
4. Add small snowflakes or pearls on the shoes.
B) Crystal Shoes (more magical
)
1. Melt isomalt and pour into shoe molds.
2. Let them set clear like ice.
3. Brush lightly with silver dust.
4. Add tiny fondant bows or snowflakes.

6. Assemble the Final Cake
1. Stack all three tiers using dowels for support.
2. Place the crystal/fondant princess shoes elegantly on top.
3. Add snowflakes cascading down the sides.
4. Brush everything with shimmering edible glitter.
5. Add gently powdered edible snow around the base.
