Ingredients
For the Wreath
- 2 sheets puff pastry, thawed
- 8 oz Brie cheese, cut into small cubes
- ½ cup cranberry sauce (whole berry or jellied)
- ¼ cup chopped nuts (pecans or walnuts), optional
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- Fresh rosemary sprigs (for garnish)
- Optional: honey or maple syrup for drizzling
Instructions
1. Prep the Pastry
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Unroll both puff pastry sheets and lay them flat.
2. Cut the Wreath Rings
- Using an upside-down mixing bowl (about 8–9 inches), lightly press a circle into the center of one pastry sheet.
- With a sharp knife, cut a circle inside that imprint — this creates the hole for the wreath.
- Place the cut pastry ring on the prepared baking sheet.
- Cut the same circle from the second pastry sheet (to layer later).
3. Add Brie + Cranberry Filling
- Evenly distribute Brie cubes around the ring, about 1 inch from the outer edge.
- Spoon small dollops of cranberry sauce between the cheese pieces.
- Sprinkle with chopped nuts if using.
4. Seal the Wreath
- Place the second puff pastry ring directly on top of the filled one.
- Gently press the edges to seal.
- Using a sharp knife, cut slits around the ring, about every 1.5–2 inches, stopping before the filling.
- Twist each segment 1–2 times to reveal the pretty layers.
5. Brush + Bake
- Whisk the egg and brush the entire wreath with egg wash for a golden shine.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until puffed, deep golden, and bubbling.
6. Garnish + Serve
- Let cool for 5 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh rosemary sprigs for a festive wreath look.
- Drizzle lightly with honey or maple if desired.
- Serve warm and pull apart to enjoy melty Brie and cranberry goodness in every bite!
Tips & Variations
- Savory twist: Add caramelized onions or a sprinkle of thyme inside.
- Extra tang: Mix a spoonful of orange zest into the cranberry sauce.
- Make ahead: Assemble the wreath up to 4 hours ahead; keep chilled and bake right before serving.
- Cheese swap: Camembert works beautifully too.
